Runner

I never thought of myself as a runner. But I needed something to help manage my stress. I started Googling how to safely manage stress, and learned about the ways running could help me. After a friend told me about a couch-to-5k app, I downloaded it and promptly went out and bought a pair of running shoes. I paced myself, followed the app’s guidance and eventually built up the stamina to run a few miles each day. Eventually, I joined a local running group and have invited a few of my friends to join me on my evening runs.

Last Spring, I started looking for ways to use my love of running to help important causes. Now, a group of us have started running in charity 5Ks. The last run we participated in raised over $50,000 for at-risk youth!
